Cooking So Easy College Students Can Do it

Most college students do not have a clue about cooking. We're about to show you how easy it really is.

Please believe me when I tell you that you do not want to be eating macaroni & cheese and Raman noodles for dinner every night at college. This is really hard on your body. Besides, contrary to popular belief, cooking doesn't have to be complicated. All you need are the right recipes and/or an imaginative heart.

Recipe books exist that were made specifically for college students who have no time and no cooking skills. Consider buying The College Cookbook, Cooking Outside the Pizza Box, The Healthy College Cookbook, or another college recipe book. You'll be glad you did.

Some people just can't stand following a recipe. No worries! When dinner time rolls around simply find a few items that go well together and chuck them in a pot or frying pan. Chicken, rice and carrots taste good. Also try ranch style beans, corn, hominy, garbonzo beans, (leave the juices for a stew) ground beef, tomatoes, and diced green chili. Add a bit of salt & pepper and throw some cheese on top.

Here are other easy meals: spaghetti with sauce, fettuccini Alfredo, Caesar salad, Stone soup (throw whatever you want in it), hamburgers, macaroni tuna salad, three bean salad, and anything in a crockpot.

Also, never EVER skip breakfast! Cereal, fruit, bagels, and oatmeal make quick and easy breakfasts. Or try pancakes, muffins or biscuits. If you can't make them on your own, use a mix! Skipping breakfast is hard on your metabolism. Avoid it at all costs. If you are on the run grab a granola bar or banana with you, just get anything in your stomach.
